Half Day Elementary School
We went to a local elementary school and made cards for hospitalized children with a class of fourth graders.
Ivy Hall Elementary School
We were guest speakers during an assembly to teach children about pediatric cancer and empathy.
Hawthorn Mall
We went to a local mall where we set up a table focused on childhood cancer. We distributed brochures with information on childhood cancer to the parents and childhood cancer gold ribbon stickers along with colorful pencils to the kids.
Barbara’s Bookstore
We went to a local bookstore and had a story time event where we read the book Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand. It’s an inspiring story about a young girl with cancer who sells lemonade to fun research for cancer.
